Irruption WMA

2018 Clays for a Cause was a dramatic year for the fundraiser, having to be rescheduled due to 18 inches of snow on April 12 in the Twin Cities.  The alternate date in May, still managed to raise our biggest amount yet: $10,630.00 towards an addition to the Irruption Wildlife Management Area in Murray County.  This acquisition created an expansive wildlife corridor, by connecting the Irruption WMA to 320 acres of permanently protected easements.  The parcel will provide excellent uplands and big game hunting opportunities, and is part of a collaborative effort between the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Pheasants Forever and Red Rock Rural Water.
