2016:

JAMES MEGER WMA

2016 Clays for a Cause raised $4,032.19 towards the creation of the 155-acre James Meger Wildlife Management Area.  This land honors wildlife painter James Meger's legacy, providing habitat to the wildlife he celebrated and providing a public hunting area which will inspire generations of hunters to come!  Clays for a Cause’s contribution went toward restoring and enhancing the WMA to benefit upland game, waterfowl, deer, small game and watchable wildlife and to establish natural buffers to improve water quality.  The WMA was ceremoniously opened to the public for hunting and dedicated to Meger’s memory at the 2017 Governor’s Pheasant Opener, which the Clays for a Cause Board was honored to attend.
